Readme for WinPVR (by andal (only the readme)) This program is used to transfer the data from the Kathrein UFD 552 / Hyundai 820 to your PC (obviously). I tried to hold the user interface as easy as possible (and it is not so very good looking either). Here is the usage guide: Click one of the displayed entries in the list, enter your desired start time and end time or offset from start in seconds and length. The times in the lower edit boxes named begin and end have to be entered in h:mm:ss.ms or hhmmss format otherwise the calculation of the time will fail - as you can see if you try. And then you can either put the ripjob into a queue or rip at once. Description of the buttons and thingies: Output Dir Edit: Use the button on the right to browse for a new one. The big one in the middle: holds the informations about the clips stored on your disc. Double click an entry to rename it. Offset: The offset in seconds from the beginning of the clip to be skipped Time: The amount of time that has to be read Begin: The offset in format h:mm:ss.ms from the beginning of the clip to be skipped. Look at change history 0.6.3 End: The absolute time in format h:mm:ss.ms from the beginning of the clip to read to. Look at change history 0.6.3 UDF-Drive box Shows the available UDF-Drives in your PC - never tried more than one but should work. Dir button: To show the directory of the drive - usually not used. Audio: Unmark to skip the audio Video: Unmark to skip the video Play sound at the end: don't ask me to implement a way to choose your favourite sound Write log file: If marked the ripper will open a new log file for every ripped clip. If not it only keeps one log file. Rip Audio Raw: Rips the audio without filtering the overhead. Only use it when the sound is fucked up in normal mode. To get the actual MP2-file from the MPP-File use MPP2MP2 (can be found in the internet). Rip Stream Raw: rips audio and video file raw - use ds.jar to extract streams Firmware >= 190: for users of Firmware >= 190. (the directory structure changed) Patch 1st sequence header: patches the first sequence header to a DVD-compatible size (352x576). Use DVDPatcher to undo the patch. The Buttons: RIP!: starts the job-queue or (without chosen jobs) the rip that you just defined. Cancel / stop rip: stops a rip-job or ends the program. Job Control: Del: Deletes all the jobs in the queue (only way by now to get rid of the jobs) Add: If you have defined a job (chosen a clip - entered the right times) click here to enqueue it. Save: Saves the jobs to $OutputDir\Winpvr_Joblist.csv Load: Loads a job list. There is an example included (should be). If you have suggestions send them by e-mail to andal1208@arcor.de Things that won't work: - Ripping things that did not work in the receiver - have to think about the rest .... ;-) Thanks: Thanks to boom who originally wrote the ripper Thanks to Kimi for the precious tips and the Preview-Lib Thanks to Stefan for the information about the cut clips Change History: 0.6.1 first version with readme - so no changes 0.6.2 (unreleased) - "Ding" is played at the end of the job-queue - if you queue more than one job with the same clip a number is appended to the filename - if you rename a clip and put a job in the queue the name is kept for the job - raw audio ripping should now work properly - the "rip raw audio" and the "rip to eobs" info is stored in the job queue - search turbo installed (hope it works) 0.6.3 - search turbo refined - ripping of clips which were already cut in the receiver (not considered stable) - audio and video can now be ripped seperately - Raw audio ripping does not leave any 0-length mp2 files - raw audio ripping refined - times in begin and end can now be entere like hhmmss the higher values can be left out. e.g: 456 will result in 4 minutes 56 seconds - 12345 will result in 1 hour 23 minutes 45 seconds 0.6.4 - if you rename a clip the same clip will be still selected - if you add a job to the job list the end time will be copied to the clipboard - a file is produced called "xxxx delay.log". It contains the audio / video delay (according to PTS) 0.7.0 - Job Control System implemented - Firmware 190 support - Window title shows version now - Window title shows progress of rip - Overflow should be done better now 0.8.0 (not released) - search for start point optimized - rip raw video changed to rip raw streams - bug: offset between audio and video should now be zero - bug: raw audio had wrong length - corrected - already cut streams should now work, too - end detection should now be better 0.9.0 - Preview window implemented: right click movie -> preview... - wheel mouse can be used to navigate in preview - Job creation in preview window implemented known bugs: sometimes it takes long in the preview window to find the position (hopefully it does not hang) 0.9.5 - search engine refined - preview window bugfixed. - new: 3 magnification levels for searching in preview window (press the button on the left or right click dialog) - bugfix: raw selection should now work (both stream and audio) - new output format for joblists. I added a checksum. So even if you are deleting clips in the receiver the right index will be found. But if you cut the clip it is not recognized any more. - audio ripping should now work on all channels (AC3 not tested) - navigation with slider updates time - output files will be renamed if they are already existing. (e.g. Filename_000.m2v) - output timestamps of GOPs are normalized
